Your Chair yoga students can hold a posture for one complete breath. That is one full inhale and one full exhale, while holding a posture. This will be much less vigorous, but your Chair yoga students will love it. This is not a race and is also mildly aerobic. The benefits are mentally uplifting, as well.

For a fit crowd, an inhale on one posture, and an exhale on the following posture will be fine, but the breath should still be complete. The Chair yoga teacher is not a drill sergeant, so the pace of any Chair yoga Vinyasa flow should be slow, thorough, and controlled. Chair yoga Vinyasa Flow is not a race. The absolute and top priority is to keep yoga practice safe. Fun is one thing, but safety overrides fun every time.

Through Karmic yoga and Sat yoga meditation we can come to this realization by ceasing to be ego driven. Mediation, renunciation, and sacrifice help to dissolve the ego like a shell around a seed, so that what is inside, the divine spark, can transform us to do the work of Love in the world. Practicing Yoga Can Help Children Appreciate the Environment

...er exploration of why the flowers are important to the bees and why certain birds look for worms rather than eat birdseed.

It sounds so simplistic, but this really works. Take a child away from their electronic music/game gizmo for a while and place them in this state of rest and they will begin to appreciate their world. Yoga is the fulcrum by which children can receive exercise, relax, and learn to smell the flowers again. Dont we owe it to our children to give them this inner peace so that they can face the environmental challenges ahead and care enough about them to do whats right. We can also learn so much from the world around us. We can see positive character traits all around in nature patience, perseverance, trust, acceptance. Our world, our animals, our air, our treesthey are worth fighting for. Lets help give our kids another tool so that they can face the challenge. That tool is yoga!
